What EXACTLY are under eye wrinkles? - What is the science behind why wrinkles appear the way they do.

Under Eye Wrinkles Explained

This is the age of Rejuvenation Medicine and Anti-aging therapy which includes Rejuvenation Biotechnologies. Research and medical scientists have studied extensively the underlying causes of aging as well as the factors which contribute to damages at the tissue, cellular and sub-cellular/mitochondrial levels. Research for the reversal of the aging process has been producing several solutions for this phenomenal.

It is not surprising that the skin has received major attention as the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries have understood that both male and female adolescents and adults invest a lot of their personal funds to “look good”.

What exactly are under eye wrinkle?

Under eye wrinkles are lines of varying length and depth which are visible under the eyes. Wrinkles appear when the skin over time has lost the collagen and elastin protein which are the fiber responsible for giving the firm, smooth characteristic of healthy skin and its ability to regain the tone after it has been stretched or pinched.

How and why does aging create under eye wrinkles?

A natural progression of aging is the appearance of wrinkles. Around the eyes are particularly vulnerable to wrinkles as this area tends to be thinner and drier that the rest of the face. This in part explains why under eye wrinkles are so visible. Added to this is the fact that the skin around the eyes is more vulnerable to dehydration than the rest of the face. As we age there is less production of collagen and elastin to repair the skin and maintain the skin tugor.
